Good morning!
Sooo the update over here is that I’m still having a conversation with Merve Emre (in my head) about her disparaging/ condescending review of the Mom Rage book.
When I’m like this (riled up, frustrated), it helps me to express myself. #whyImawriter And then I remembered that I took out a few panels from Chapter 3 of Resume Gap. (This is the chapter that goes through the tedious and for me, rage-inducing, history of how Pat Buchanan, from an unelected position, persuaded Nixon to veto legislation that was already passed by Congress that would have enacted high-quality universal daycare across the country.)
And well, since the next chapter isn’t ready to go yet, I thought I’d post these four panels, which I originally took out because it just felt like TOO much information for one chapter.
Anyway, I think they stand alone pretty well and are kind of a fun read— “kind of” being the operative word(s). Are you ready, Merve, err, I mean, Readers?
p.s. One more shout-out to Brigid Schulte’s Overwhelmed, which I reference in the below quite handily.
